John: The very existence of these continued newsletters seem to imply ties between he and thee. Are y'all actually competing to see who'll sell the most metal eggbaskets?

My lumpsaver burnt to shit in about 6 months.
My original ceramic firebox is still chuggin.
$80 for something that goes bottomless within the year is hardly what I'd call a fucking design improvement.

BD(John and Richard still sittin in a tree...)

Its no competition when he doesnt ship anything and we do. He pretends to build stuff, but it is all out of hot rolled steel....and that is junk when being heat cycled over and over. We only use stainless and it seems to be doing well. I guess that is to be expected when we start and finish with a better product. Also, I am not gonna sell it for $80 when it won't even cover the cost to manufacture it, so good luck on that. I'm not even gonna say anything about the shipping price.... I'll just sit and laugh if people actually think it is that cheap. The best part of it is, when he sends out these news letters, our customers forward them to us and them as well as others end up placing parts orders through us. So, again, we just laugh about it and get the customers what they news.

For what its worth, we have yet to have our customers complaint about our parts.....except for taking a bit longer than needed, or UPS just thrashing the boxes.

Thanks again,
John

Ironically, there seem to be more "updates" from RJ than from Kamado Grills. Kamado.com is gone, kamadousa is down, and vegaskamado has a few posts from people not getting answers. For example:

No one answering the phones either.....

I'm starting to worry about my order; more about not seeing it filled that losing my money.

(Heavy Sigh)

Tim

It all has a familiar ring to it, sadly.

Confused

sorry, we are going through a bunch of changes all at once. Perhaps a bit too much at once. I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. I have replied to these post as needed.
