Kamado Company - The Thing That Would Not Die
Reply with quote

The latest newsletter is out - you would think these people still had a viable business:

Quote:
Whatever Happened to the K-11?

The answer to this often asked question…..”what is happening with the development of the Kamado 11?”

I am pleased to announce that my K11, labor of love, has progressed from my idea to prototype testing, final CAD drawing, and now the big K11 is in my shop for completion of the model before I hand layup of the injection (cavity) master production molds.

I invite you to take a look at the attached PDF and tell me what you think.

Thanks,

Richard

And Kamado Grills is MIA. I believe RJ is putting out more information that they are these days. Sad.

Bigger grill........Bigger scam. Since the cost will be higher the down payment will also be higher. This means RJ can spend more time at the buffet and Debra gets a new purse to put all that deposit money in. It is very disappointing that we haven't heard from Kamado Grills, they at least knew where to find RJ and were able to stick it to him a little bit even though in the end it looks like RJ lured them into his trap and came out on top. Sad.

I want two #11s.
One to shit on,one to cover it up with.
Love that 7-page grammar abortion of a PDF.

A #11 is just a #9 with some #2 thrown in. RJ has more #2 than anybody.

That felt so good. I haven't used my #2 joke in a few years Rolling Eyes

Ol Dick ripped those 2 young suckers off. Too bad. He got who knows how much money from them and gave up only the kamado.com URL. I have to admit that he is one determined scam artist. He must be approaching 90 and his scam instincts are as sharp as ever. Still can't believe I gave that guy $10K

Guys,

Don't worry about purchasing from RJ, he has a 100% satisfaction guarantee, he will even pay for return shipping if you don't like your new K! What an incredible guy! And a lifetime warrantee!

From: http://kamadocompany.com/faq.htm#14

XIV. Is There a Guarantee of Satisfaction?

There is a guarantee that you will be 100% satisfied with your Kamado and if not, for any reason, you will receive a full refund and we will pick up your Kamado This is somewhat an empty promise since it has never happened.

The latest newsletter -- unfortunately the pdf attachment did not arrive due to size restrictions, but here is the text. Anyone wanna put up a couple grand for a #11?

Quote:
Hello Kamado Customers,

We invite you to take a look at the attached PDF showing pictures and information on the completed K11 full scale model before the master production molds are made. It will take two weeks for the injection production molds to be made and immediately thereafter limited production will be commenced.

As we mentioned in our August 2012 Newsletter the K11 was designed and being made primarily for certain restaurants, resorts and commercial customers, however, those Kamado customers who never want the devastating experience again of not having enough Kooking area for their guests and parties..the K11 is just the size and perfect remedy. Also, it just might be that you might want the biggest and the best!

The K11 has been quite an adventure over seven years and I certainly appreciate the encouragement, suggestions and comments many have given. As might be expected, the most frequent questions are:

How much for the K11? ....Starting at $1,999.00 for the 1st 10 K11's

When will deliveries start? ....Estimated before Christmas 2012

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about the K11even though this size might be totally huge for your lifestyle today. But I sincerely promise the next Kamado Newsletter will have detailed information on the most functional product I have ever made!

Happy Kooking and best regards,

Richard

I heard rumors as a added convienence you can buy a drip pan for his new units to catch the tiles as they fall off. Is this to good to be true ?
