We have a few pictures of our first arrival of our new stainless collars and Damper Tops. The picture of the DT wooden box indicates the effort to make sure this arrives to our customers w/o UPS damage (which isn't easy). We will have put the DT wooden box in a cardboard box so UPS will that this shipment. The wooden box is about 11" x 12".

Out of over 10,000 of our tiled Kamados we only have 1/10th of 1 percent that need replacement Damper Tops and over 90% of these are because of stuck damper rod or the lack of attention to the occasional movement and or cleqning of the rod. We hope you take the time to do this preventative maintenance occasionally and prevent ANY replacement being necessary.
Thanks, Tony

Stuck damper rods was a constant complaint on their forum and always has been an issue. .1 percent? Hardly. While, we hope that people get better results with this way overdue fix for this Kamado design flaw, to say only .1 percent of his customers had the problem is an out and out lie.

i'm chuckling over the description of over 10,000 tiled kamados. well and the damper tops, because the stuck damper tops have always been an issue. It is remarkable if they have that many satisfied customers that there forum has crumbled like their fireboxes.

Ok lets see what the math says. !0,000 Kamados time 0.1% equals 10! So does 10 sound like the right answer for stuck Damper Tops?

Laughing Laughing I don't know what is funnier...their claim they have sold 10,000 tiled kamados or there are only 10 stuck damper tops.

They also previously announced they weren't going to try and organize charcoal orders, but it appears now they want to encourage the group orders again. If it weren't for people posting trying to organize an order and then posting because it never arrives, they get very few posts.

This one from Tony is just too much...Instead of acknowledging his design flaw with that grate RJ blames the lump charcoal which was the only charcoal available when he designed the unit. Then he infer that people need to buy his charcoal for the grate to perform correctly. This guy is a mental case.

Brian, I spoke to Richard some time ago about the name LumpSAVER and what is his definition of "SAVER" part of this name. His answer was: "Since 5% to 20% of ordinary lump (not Kamado charcoal) have unusable fines in the bottom of the BAG from shipping, handling or careless bagging.. Fines are basically unusable because the clog up the combustion air entering the "firebox". A Lumpsaver has much better combustion air because of the construction and design of this rod firebox". Richard did note that the fines may be placed on the OUTSIDE of the lumpsave and they will eventually burn, however most just use charcoal on the inside of the lumpsaver. Hope this helps in some way. Tony
