This is interesting... this fellow had two posts deleted:

FWIW: I have had the same problem. I have called and emailed numerous
times over the past year trying to get my cracked upper vent replaced.
I don't know what it takes to get someone to call back.

Hmmm.. Strange, I posted a comment here and it disappeared. I'll post
it again: I've had the same problem as Buzz. I have called and
e-mailed Kamado repeatedly over the past year, trying to get my
cracked upper-vent replaced, and nobody ever answers or returns my
messages. I left a message again today.

And now his account is deleted! Shocking. Rolling Eyes

But get this... three years ago he was warning folks away from kamado!

It saddens me to write this, but I have to strongly discourage anyone from buying a Kamado. I have had, and continue to have, serious problems with Kamado's customer service and fulfillment. It's been months since I gave Kamado my money, and put simply, they haven't delivered the grill, despite numerous promises from their sales staff. They also won't return my phone calls or emails inquiring about status. This is not an exaggeration -- weeks after the promised deliver date -- I have left no fewer 4 phone messages, and have sent 3 or 4 emails to my two sales contacts. They are friendly when you speak with them. But for weeks now, I have received no response of any kind, and no Kamado either. My in-laws warned me that Kamado customer service was a problem. I should have listened. I'm going to continue to hope the grill eventually arrives. Suffice to say, if you're thinking about buying a Kamado, you've been warned.

His warning actually led to a an interesting discussion among the fanboys and the disillusioned former-fans.

Yup... three years... nothing new.
Confused
