Warranty or not.. . . I have kooked the krap out of my K7. I have small cracks on the lower half that will push out smoke when under a complete dwell. No problem, just filled them with Rutlands Furnace Cement from the inside after an extensive cleaning.

I know here my cracks came from, doing a tuna belly that just "burst into flame" (very high fat kontent) and kaused the interior to get to well over 1,000 degrees (the thermometer was showing 300 degree but in all actuality it has been to and PAST 750!!!

I've learned to use a drip pan lined with foil and not let the kooker get too hot when kooking bellies.

In the meantime, I will Kontinue to Kook with my K7 until it Krumbles, and then I'm going to BUY another. Where else Kould I get such a great Kooker that has lasted 5 years so far? I'm a VERY satisfied Kook! I'll be more Kareful with my next one and not let it get so hot!

I use "k" in place of "c" as you can see because I LIKE MY KAMADO!!!!

Where else can he get such a great cooker that has lasted 5 years so far? Well, let's see. I'll bet there are a hundred times more BGE owners with Eggs that have lasted well over 5 years. And they have all received customer service, unlike the few Kamado owners who still have cookers that haven't krumbled. I use "K" in place of "C" as you can see because KAMADOs KRUMBLE!!!!

He better hurry up and buy it now, there won't be a Kamado Co in a year or two.

Too bad there hasn't been a Johnson Ass Kissing Contest in a while. That would be a pretty strong entry.

Even if he were to buy one now he wouldn't get it in a year, two or ever for that matter. But if he is dumb enough to buy one he can get on the waiting list with SnakeRiverIdaho, who's kamado missed the boat again.

Mtbchip, we all thank you for the nice comment! However, a M63D ceramic high heat coating will keep your beautiful Kamado from overheat damage and certainly from a heart breaking Krumble.

I would mention that M63D would be preferable over Rutlands Furnace Cement to fill cracks. I would be happy to give you some technical reasons if you wish by emailing me at richardj@kamado.com. Best, Richard

Welcome to the forum.

Rutland Furnace cement works fine to reset the draft door “frame” (the thing with the tubes). We have M62 or M63 that works fine as well but since Home Depot, Ace Hardware and many other stores carry Rutland Furnace Cement, we suggest a local purchase.[/
So which is it? My money would be on Rutland. Rolling Eyes

Rutland Furnace Cement works like a charm and has the added bonus of not being in any way affiliated with Kamado.

Do you think that RJ's response via private mail would be something like "I need the money in order to keep visiting the casinos and the breakfast buffets?"

Come on Spanky, do you really believe that? Kamado will always be around to take your money...thus, there will always be a place for you and this forum...at least as long as any of the daughters are alive. Hopefully, this will keep you from going into a deep depression.
