Thinset, and SEAL YOUR GROUT
I've been doing tile work for years and on average people just don't seal their grout. Moisture will eventually seep through and either steam, or freezing will cause tile damage. Grout sealer is cheap insurance. One $20.00 bottle every few years and you'll never have to worry. |
Apparently, he thinks after 2 posts he is qualified to explain the entire phenomenon of tiles falling off of Kamado Kookers as simply a matter of lazy or ignorant kustomers not sealing their tile. (Is this RJ in disguise? The "blame the kustomer" theme is common on the Kamado forum.) Even Richard Johnson would admit the problem isn't lack of sealing. He likes to blame customers for not properly breaking in the kooker akkording to his detailed instruktions. Oh, and of kourse, he does admit that one or two of the ten's of thousands of kookers he has made did have tile failure. |
