New USA Manufacturing Site: Holy Cow!
 | |

 |
				| Just got notice of this exciting "opportunity" via email from RJ:

  	  | Quote: | | Commercial Kamado is opening a new USA factory for manufacturing Commercial Kamados and are inviting Kamado owners who might wish to consider participating in this exciting long term and
 profitable joint venture opportunity.
Primary sales marketing is focused on expanding the present cooking reputation Kamado has
now with some of the finest hotel, resort, restaurants in the world. Executive chefs worldwide know
the benefits of cooking in ceramics but are just finding out what our Kamado owners already
know…… that our heavy walled ceramic cookers are adaptable for their restaurants, décor and additional
profitability that is possible from new unique menu items that are unique to Kamado cooking..
The current economic conditions have presented a rare opportunity to obtain unparalleled quality
and quantity of management, skilled and unskilled
U.S. workers. At the same time the lowest prices in
real estate in decades. Now is the time to take advantage
of “Made in the USA” to compete with any
Asian or other offshore product costs. This is especially
true in large volume products where the price
per “CBM” makes ocean shipping costs and delays
a huge factor in the total cost of goods.
Four year long contracts and delivery schedules
with international hotel/restaurant chains will provide
the larger Commercial Kamado steady growth
in manufacturing and new product opportunities.
Hotel and restaurant chain’s purchase orders are
beyond the manufacturing capabilities of the present
Kamado Company, which will continue to
 manufacture and distribute residential Kamado
 products directly to individual customers.

The commercial Kamado differs in many respects to
the private or residential Kamados produced by
Kamado Company for over 15 years and its Japanese
predecessor for 30 plus years. The main differences
 are:
 • 2000 degree F plus ceramic formula with indestructible
 thermal shock capabilities required
 for continuous high temperature commercial
 cooking.
 • Making the large custom ceramic tile in their own ceramic kilns with custom
glazes and colors to match restaurants, hotel and resort’s décor and logos.
 • The Custom tile is attached to the ceramic body with a completely different
method of permanently fixing the tile to the body.
 • Four sizes, three of which are known as Kamado #5, #7 and #9 and all will have
the same basic dimensions as the present Kamados. The fourth size is the new
 and much larger size #11.
 • Each ceramic cooker will be made specifically to the client’s requirements as to placement
(resort/restaurant patio or indoor), fuel (gas, wood, charcoal, combination or electric).
 • Custom designed accessories and appendices for example pizzas, shawarma (other names)
 requiring vertical or “hanging”.
 • All are designed and made to be trouble free when used commercially in applications by
much stronger heavier stainless steel and fittings.
 • Commercial Kamado is a separate entity from the Kamado Company where Kamados are
 made in Indonesia.
 • Warehousing will be expanded to meet the extensive commercial use of all fuel types used
in our ceramic cookers including extruded
 lump, extruded coconut, lump, tropical
 woods and smoking wood types.
Richard Johnson will assist with set-up engineering,
new product research & development, consulting and
full his support, licenses, but not in day to day operations.
Exciting details of how you might participate will be
 made available upon request to:

				| That text was in a PDF file with photos of hotels. This is the text in the email that contained the PDF:
  	  | Quote: | | Hello Kamado owner,

We would like you to be the first to know about this exciting opportunity that might be of interest to you. The attached PDF file will give you a chance to review what we feel will be a profitable opportunity to participate in the expansion of Kamados by manufacturing in the U.S. This will be a dedicated commercial Kamado for hotel, resort and chain restaurants.

 Please take a look.

				| My first thought is that RJ is giving up on residential sales. Lord knows he hasn't sold or delivered many (if any) lately. He probably figures that hotel/restaurant chefs/personnel don't read forums and that we can't possibly affect his ability to sell his cookers commercially. Let's hope he's wrong...
Of course, if he stiffs the Hilton hotel chain, I doubt he will get away with it.

				| Oh god. Hopefully these hotels, restaurants, and potential investors do their due diligence.

				| My first thought was...well, never mind
With all this capital he'll be raising maybe he can build the k's that are owed people.
But then he'd just end up owing all of the restuarants. Sounds ponzi-ish to me, so I'm sure he's already thought of it | |
