I think my K Kualifies for some shame.
I have given up on trying to contact Kamado.
I honestly tried to get hold of them without any bashing or illlusions.
Since they actively avoided me, now they have miffed me.

more will follow.
I intend to try to repair this POS. I expect more loose stuff to come out. I'll take more pictures.

In looking at these pictures it looks like RJ's new design is just adding a new layer of insulating concoction to the outside of the cooker. Instead of sandwiching it like the reputable company does. Looks like this layer is failing too. Is this what I am seeing?

It sure looks like it, TC. We've seen dozens of RJ cookers in all states of disrepair but this is a totally different presentation. I wonder if this was an early experiment or one of his much ballyhooed 2 layer versions of the past year or two.

Maybe Topo didn't know Dennis's manufacturing process as well as he said??? Razz Razz Razz

Yeah, this is the second time I have seen this type of failure. RJ probably had no idea how to apply the insulating layer, it seems it has made his cookers even more prone to failure. Great upgrade RJ, next time you try to steal someones idea you probably should learn how to actually apply it to the cooker.

I think its all one layer. I'm told this Kooker was made in 2004 in Mexico.
from the look of the concrete rubble in the cavity.
so I'm all set for repair it.
I still need to get some threaded Stainless rod to make a new top. I'll probably cover it with some black marble or something in contrast and use the tiles from the old top as spares.
