August 23, one month after I was informed my parts shipped. No parts.
I have closed on my house and will be moving. Sheesh, I ordered parts four months before that, you would think it was enough time.
Liars and thieves. Maybe the point was to see how far they could drive the name below RJ. |

Sorry to hear that, LakewayK.
I was really pulling for those guys. But it looks like they've pretty much bailed on the idea-- if the lack of activity on their forum is any indication.
Did you give them a forwarding address just in case?
Bummer.
PS - I split this off into a new post... the other thread was growing long in the tooth. _________________ Don't Be A Richard |

Just a thought from a Monday Morning Quarter back: These guys obviously had no guidance in jumping into this venture! Who in their right mind would want to assume any liability from the previous owner, a known liar and cheat at best! I can only imagine their attorney,if they had one, would have advised them to RUN not walk away from this deal! Seems as if there was no real business plan at all. That being said it's kinda sad to see any small business fold up, I don't think these two had any malice aforethought , I bet they really wanted to succeed! Unfortunately it would appear they were a little short sighted. Not trying to slam them, being in business for yourself is tough, but sometimes you have to ask for help. |

I kind of felt the same way. And since they were using PayPal, I thought ok. Well, the promises kept coming until the dispute period was past. Let that be a lesson. You need limits to patience and understanding.
While they may be over their head, etc.. They still stole my money.
They decided to become what they were trying to fight against. Cheats. |

One point of clarification, according to Kamado Grills, they did not assume the liabilities of Kamado Corp. They bought certain assets and that's all. They said they were trying to make good on some of RJ's cheats, but who knows, I guess... |

Well, still nothing.
I sent a few emails. Nothing.
No parts, no reply, no refund.
Thankfully it was only a few hundred.
It appears that these grifters run in packs. RJ, now Kamado Grills.
Sigh....
I suppose I can rehab the grill into something functional with some expanded steel. Then wait for Costo to put the Kamado Joe back on the floor.
I wish I had a use for a mooring, but I don't live near the coast anymore. Fill this bad boy up with concrete and it could function for another hundred years... |

Well, that's disappointing.
You know, they have a Facebook page... you might try getting their attention over there (just recently posted photos of new customers with new kamados).
Also, post on their forum if you can. Certainly couldn't hurt. _________________ Don't Be A Richard |

Facebook did the trick.
they said they didn't use the old email, that the parts had been returned, etc., etc.. However, in the end, the parts arrived. I received them today. |
