Got My Money Back - via Credit Card YOU CAN TOO |
|
|
|
DONT GIVE UP HOPE!!
I have been reading all of the posts on this forum for the past 60 days.
I have concluded a 7.5 month long odyssey with succesfully having the origial adn finance charges reversesd on my credit card (Chase).
My down payment and payment upon shipping were charged to my card originally in April and May of 2007. The original shipment arrived within 45days, but I recieved someone elses #7, but we could not re-route the two cross-shipped 7's because the other party had uncrated mine. Fortuitous for me after having discovered this forum.
After getting more excuses than I thought possible, i contacted my credit card company in the beginning of October 2007, they politely directed my to thier fraud department. I had been keeping a log of each phone call in a notebook, which i transcribed to an excel sheet and submitted it with a cover letter to teh credit card complany fraud dept.
It took the credit card company 3 weeks to reverse the charges. |

Got my money back - clarification |
|
|
|
I refused delivery of the wrong one in May and never recevied my #7.
I was given lots of stories and excuses and an insult to boot.
So, no ceramic cooker for me, i am using my gas grill for now. |

Excellent |
|

But folks should not forget that it wasn't Kamado customer service that got you your money back, but your own sweat & tears and the help of your credit card company.
Hopefully others will see similar results. |

Perhaps after it happens enough times, the credit card companies will cancel them out....and then they will start a new name. |

I think the really good news is that it was the credit card's fraud department. There are some companies that will go the extra mile to do something about fraud. I just wonder if Chase will do something more in this case? _________________ http://www.nerka-naknek.net.ms |

UPDATE |
|
|
|
I could not stand being denied a ceramic cooker.
Just finished putting a KK Ultimate GenII on my porch last night.
From order to porch = 5 days
perfect shape, no issues.
I had more emails from Dennis in those five days than with the "others" in 7.5 months!!!
As far as swaet/tears and credit card company - you are all correct.
My main point was... your Credit card co (if they are worth thier salt) will get your money back no matter what the elapsed time is.
Just keep very detailed records of the "transaction" and give the card company all the "ammo" they need. |

Hi, Got my money back,
I picked up on the "no matter what the time lapse is." part in your earlier message.
Does that only mean if you didn't take delivery?
What if someone took delivery but have had nothing but problems since purchase, over and over, each time more and more serious than the last. Do you think the CC company could help with that? |

knotter - i dont see why not -
it is non-performance on the companies cutomer service.
call your card company and ask what recourse you have
they are best to advise you if they can help.
if they can't .................
SLANDER-SLANDER away - give 'em bad press, post pics, etc...
but, remember... carma will get them soon.
RJ is in his 70's, he will be standing at the gates shortly and will be judged....
I am not a religious man, but i belive that everyone will reap what they sow. |

Dude, that is exactly religious...carma is very Hindu-ish and new age, and the judgement gates is very Christian or Jewish or even Islam. Maybe you is religious |

knotter....some credit cards double the warranty of the manufacturer.
Laughing aside, I do not know how long you have owned the POSK, but it may be worth a call to the credit card company. The worst thing is they say no. |

I hoping for the Karma concept myself. I think Karma ran the NamSang into the I street bridge in Sacramento. I think Karma has been doggin old RJ for awhile. He has been lying, cheating and stealing long before he started making BBQ's. I think Topo and Karma are going to really get to RJ, but I also think he will have screwed over a bunch more people before that happens.
Knotter...if you really want to get RJ, turn him in for some of that underweight charcoal he sold. As I recall you may have purchased some of it. Selling underweight merchandise is a criminal offense. |
