We just received this email from Daniel quoted below. Daniel purchased this #9 cobalt blue from us in 2003. Hope you can keep a lookout for this Kamado.
"This is Daniel Russ. I bought a Kamado a few years back, when you were in Sacramento. I lived in Reno at the time. I hauled it all the way to Lake Charles, Louisiana, only to have it stolen by my caretaker. He traded it for drugs.
If you happen to hear from anyone from the southwest Louisiana or southeast Texas area could you please forward me the information.
I cannot replace my beloved Kamado for a while. I just retired, travelled to Louisiana to find work on my new home incomplete, and my house burglerized. I have no insurance for my loss. I loved that BBQ! It cooked like no other.
Thank you,
Daniel Russ

I hope Daniel get's his kooker back. I think team johnson should send him a free one. |

I wonder if RJ cooked this one up himself. I wouldn't put it past him. But then I guess if the "caretaker" was on drugs, he might have been crazy enough to steal a pile of crumbling cement. |

Duk, you are soooo right. That's worth a little research I think. |

Amazingly, there is a post from November, 2001 where RJ says his first shipment of #9's is arriving soon. So, I guess it isn't impossible that he actually sold one in 2003. |

Yeah, well that's cutting it close. It's usually 3-4 years after he says there's a shipment that someone actually gets one |
